Morgan starred as a woman on the AIDS prevention and education video Safe Sex for Men and Women. The proceeds from the film were donated to the American Foundation for AIDS Research. She also serves on the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan was the driving force in many fundraising campaigns to fight this disease. She also addressed a Congressional special committee that focused on AIDS education. She serves on the board of Governors of APLA and Amfar. C. Everett Koop's previous deputy surgeon general requested her from time to time to be his substitute during AIDS awareness activities. She also was host of a AIDS Awareness Special with Steve Bell. Ted Koppell and Morgan have appeared on Nightline at least twice, to discuss AIDS. Morgan is nominated as the Emmy recipient for her role in Diane English's Murphy Brown Special Episode written especially for Morgan. In the spring she co-starred alongside Joan Rivers in ABC television's Your Money or Your Wife. She then started the summer by starring in Murder At The PTA Luncheon which was produced by Von Zerneck/Sertner and included Cindy Williams and Marla Gibbs. Morgan's next production brought her to Luxembourg for Harmony Gold's production Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady which also starred Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan was also the sole actor in the psychological thriller of USA Network that earned some of the highest ratings that they have ever recorded.
